New Approach to Model Railway Accessories
When an event occurs, something happens: a sound plays or something moves when a train arrives. Sounds exciting, right?
Ideal 5V Digital and Intelligent solution for model railways and dioramas.
You can connect all of them into a large network where they interact with each other. Beyond centralized control, they can also react to one another. When an event occurs, something happens: a sound plays or something moves when a train arrives.
The SegmentController can also join your Wi-Fi network, allowing you to configure everything via a web browser interface. You can adjust and fine-tune your setup later—no physical access needed. Hide the system under your layout or inside a building.
The Segment Controller is a ready to use system. The printed circuit boards are fully assembled, and the associated firmware programs are installed before delivery.
No programming knowledge or PCB soldering skills are required. It is more than enough if you have DIY skills and can wire a relay or calculate the resistance of an LED. You don’t need to know what processor the code is running on, you don’t need to be able to modify the code.
Several panels are already available, and many new ones are currently in development.
Instead of creating custom, one-off solutions, we focus on modular, configurable systems. Naturally we think in terms of DCC systems. This stable setup needs to be complemented by another reliable system — that’s where the Segment Controller comes in.
Master Panel
The master panel is the digital brain, the head and soul of the Segment Controller ecosystem. With the help of a fast, 32-bit dual-core processor, it can precisely time or even randomly switch the panels connected to it. You can choose from several panels, some of which you can connect more than one. The master automatically recognizes which panels you have added and can manage them.
If you’re looking for a beginner kit, we recommend choosing one of our starter packs. These include everything you need to get started.
In addition to the manual night mode setting, you can use three night mode automations.
You might think that night mode is the same as turning on/off the night lights. In the Segment Controller ecosystem, we find more complex solutions.
